Special Custom Made Truck to Help Rescue Animals in Emergencies, Hurricanes Saving animals and pets from a hurricane or other weather disaster will improve with the use of a custom made animal transport vehicle manufactured by Mavron, Incorporated located in Northern Indiana. The truck was built for the ASPCA and donated to the Humane Society of South Mississippi for their animal shelter in Gulfport Mississippi. Destructive forces of Hurricane Katrina last year resulted in many animals suffering because there was no good way to get them to safety. Mavron Incorporated recently designed and built this truck to the specifications of ASPCA ( the American Society for the Prevention and Cruelty to Animals). It is a 14-foot long box truck designed to transport shelter animals to safety in the event of a weather disaster like a hurricane. It features 12 large cages, tie down areas for cargo, and a lockable cabinet for supplies. A generator powered air conditioning system is built in for the safety of the animals.
